PRESIDENT'S GRADE
The Presidents Grade is North Otago's secondary Men's senior club competition.
Teams in this grade are made up of a mixture of youth and the experience of older players stepping down from premier level.
Kurow are the current holders of the Burns Shield, having defeated Old Boys in the 2025 Final.

Burns Shield Champions
The Burns Memorial Shield was originally subscribed for by the North Otago Rugby Sub-Union and Affiliated Clubs, and presented to the Sub-Union in 1924 for competition amongst Junior teams. This Shield commemorates the services rendered to Rugby Football in North Otago by Mr J.S.Burns, an ex-President of the Sub-Union.
Traditionally, the Burns Shield has been awarded to the Champions of North Otago's second tier senior men's club competition, formerly Senior B grade and currently Presidents Grade.
